This is a great review of the Dust to Dust album. I learned a couple of things - I didn't realize he used a sample from Professor X in Sleeper. And I didn't know they sampled EPMD in Kick the Bobo.

By the way, what is meant by kicking the Willie Bobo?

From what I've read, it just means to have a conversation... the white equivalent of "kick it"

Kick it: Prison slang for various forms of one-on-one communication. The term originated in the urban ghettos, though, so while two black inmates will kick it, a pair of whites might, say, kick the bobo or some such chutney.

willie bobo is an older jazz artist on Verve record label. He was heavily sampled by many rap acts.
