Obviously a limited budget. But coming from where Serch was, and his interest in all of hip hop cuture, break dance included, it took from those roots. The tone of Here it Comes in my mind is much more intense when I listen to it, compared to when I see this video, but that's the cool thing, it's all up to interpretation. No disrespect to Serch here, it was the early 90's. I love seeing the hightop fades and bright neon colors with black in the dance suits, love it. I like the artwork for his album too, black and white photography, gritty NYC subway yard. That's more the tone I expected to see in this video. But hey, if you want to market something you have to get a wide spectrum buying it. At this point in time, I was a teenager too, and I would've bought into this look and feel. Never one to take things too seriously, I appreciate this take on it too.
Serch's posse vid with Chubbs and Nas was great, so much respect due.
What's the other Serch video we're still missing?
