I'm definitely rooting for the 'rock. Not that either of 'em are anything great, but John Brown is too cocky for no reason

I DO NOT want John Brown to win, but I think he will win though. He did the best at the Detroit freestyle battles so he will have the most momentum going into the finals. It would've been cool if the finals would've been Persia or Sully VS. John Brown.

On a side note, I can't believe Serch had Insane Clown Posse on the show. So what if they're from Detroit & they have a studio with a merchandise area. Their music is WACK as hell. $hamrock asked them why do they wear masks??? It's face paint, not a mask! They responded they wear it because people were always wondering whether they were Black or White. No dude, you wear the paint 'cause it's a gimmick & your music blows.

I don't care for their music....
but they did do something with themselves.

I always kind of liked their shot at Eminem, "sucking so much Dwyck your F'n lips smoke"....
just something funny about that line.

And they do their own thing.

I am also rooting for $hamrock, but I have to say that John Brown surprised me during last night's episode.  John Brown definitely did the best during the freestyle battles, although I thought $ham's disses were better (until he choked and forgot his lyrics).  John Brown seems like he is really hungry for this and willing to give it his all to win.  $hamrock seems more laid back, but I think he needs to step it up a bit if he wants to win.  I was embarrassed for Jus Rhyme during the freestyle battles...I just don't think he gets it.  He was getting booed, but afterwards he still thought he did a good job!!  Unbelievable.  He should really just focus on getting his doctorate in Ethnic Studies...I think he'll be more successful with that.

I think John Brown is the shit.  It seems that most people don't like him, but he steps up more than anyone in the show.  The detroit free-style proved that. He also had the cohones to talk about the hot 97 beef as well. He didnt exactly back down when Brand Nubian were being assholes to him either (somebody should tell Sadat and Lord Jamar, that their "jewel" was Grand Puba and nothing they have to say)  I give Brown credit, He doesent back down, hes the king of the burbs and has skills.  At least more skills than anyone on the show

Me neither. I'm still in shock.  :-o

I can't get over the fact that Serch had ICP and Kid Rock. I would have thought they had no real credibility as artists apart from the fact they were white. I didn't think Serch would be a fan of theirs.

I only knew of ICP from their relationship with wrestling. I kind of knew about Kid Rock's history as a DJ but still I didn't think he was that good.

Jon Brown grew on me each week. He is hilarious with his Ghetto Revival thing. What I like about him is that he's been consistent with this serious tone and attitude. He really believes in what he says and he never backed down or winked at the audience saying that it was all a joke. He's cold and calculating. Did you notice how much he enjoyed the Hot 97 thing when he pissed off the radio host ? He loved the hate !

I like Shamrock too so I wouldn't complain if he won. Jon is a clown but this is tv at the end of the day.

I think Kid Rock might have a decent amount of credit still in hip hop.
I was talking to some thugs from the D.... and they said that Kid is accepted pretty much anywhere.

Grit Sandwiches was not bad.... corny, but not bad.

Polyfuze Method was a good album.... that was like 92-93.  He was using bass, lead guitars.... working the wah pedal.  Production was pretty good for being on his own label.

Early Mornin' Stoned Pimp was a straight hip hop album.  Again, not bad.
