Thanks for the link, MistaJohn.
Can't believe G-Wiz is doing production on this album. Can't wait to hear the sound either.
What was the last album he worked on with P.E.?

Hey Jorge,
Pretty certain G-Wiz's latest PE production was 1994's Muse Sick N Hour Mess Age.

I thought the last might have been ApocalyPEs Now: The Enemy Strikes Black.
But either way... I liked all of the albums up until Muse Sick N Hour Mess Age.
The ones after that I had a hard time getting into.
What has G-Wiz been doing since?

Actually - I just checked the back of He Got Game - G-Wiz produced a few tracks for that 1998 album too.
I think he continued to score beats - he worked on a few movie soundtracks over the last decade. I don't think he produced anything of significance though.
I know Chuck, Gary and the rest of the Bomb Squad stayed in contact and worked on some online ventures like Rapstation.com and Slamjamz.com.
According to Chuck, How You Sell Soul... is going to be very "Fear of a Black Planet" and "Apocalypse 91" like. Can't wait!
I LOVED New Whirl Odor - Beats and Places was pretty good - really looking forward to this latest release.

When I 1st heard the album version of Nighttrain I lost it.
I loved how the beat just went on and on and Chuck just kept rhyming.
That song would get me pissed off in a 'FUCK EVERYTHING' type of way.
I'd be driving in my car barking the lines along with Chuck staring every other driver down.
I was only 5'8 and 145 lbs - thankfully no one took me up on the offer to beat my ass.
Still, it was a great time.

The problem with Public Enemy of late has not been the music. It's still all good. The issue's are really lack of promotion(poor release date promotion, and no budgets for videos), and too varied a production from track to track. Take a few tracks off each of their more recent stuff and you'd have a great album as a whole. The last track that you can tell Chuck and Flav were both in the studio recording together was "Give the People what they need" from 2003. Since then it's been Flav phoning it in from Cali.
I'll stand by the fact that a good producer is 1/2 of the equation. If indeed the bomb squad is back, this should be a good effort. I just hope that it's promoted with the vigor it deserves if this is the original production team back, and Flav has spent some time re-bonding with the boys.
