Serch didn't apologize for the fake Pete incident - so, I continue to dislike him, therefore he is doomed to a new year of struggle and hardship:
Greetings:
As always I hope this blog finds you in good health and spirits. Many of you might not know this and many of you do, but I am Jewish. This week starts the beginning of the new Jewish calendar, and in ten days, the holiest Jewish holiday, Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) comes around. During this time of year I try to reflect on what I have done right and what I can improve on. Yom Kippur, the day of atonement, is the day where we confess our sins to G-d. We pray that he will grant us favor in his book of life and that we will be forgiven for our wrong doings. Between Yom Kippur and the Jewish New Year (Called Rosh Hashanah) we are asked to not only cast our sins, but to apologize to those we might have wronged and ask for their forgiveness. It is said that if the person you apologize to does not accept that you cannot force them but you have done your part is trying to heal the wrong that you have done.
I think about saying I'm sorry a lot. I say it to my wife almost daily since I am, by nature, a screw-up, lol. So saying I am sorry to her is almost a like telling her I love her or good morning, the same goes for my kids, my parents, my partners, etc. But I thought a lot about those of you I talk to out here in the cyber world. I started to wonder if there was an apology needed to some of you. I mean, many of you have taken the time to write me and explain to me your issues and worries and problems, and I have really done my best to counsel and provide info to those who need it. But have I been the best person I can be to those who need me. I am not so sure. So in honor of the up coming Jewish New Year and to make peace with those out there who might have thought I did not done you justice, here are my apologies:
I am sorry if I did not return your email in a timely fashion
I am sorry if I could not help you with the questions you have asked of me
I am sorry for not being available to you when you needed me
I ask for your forgiveness if I came across as blunt or indifferent
I am sorry to the dude in Brooklyn who poured his heart out to me about losing almost 200 hundred pounds and making himself better by taking care of himself, and asked me to listen to his demo and wanted to be signed to Serchlite, and instead of sending him encouraging words, I told him that we were not looking for any artist at this time. That was wrong and I was not thinking.
I am sorry for those who have misunderstood my words or actions
I am sorry for not being the best I can be
I am sorry for not being able to provide assistance to those who needed it when they needed it
Please forgive me if I did not answer your email at all
I am sorry for not reading all the blogs I am subscribed to and not adding a comment when asked
I am sorry for not letting you know when I would be in your city for an event and then getting an email from you asking why I did not post it on my page
I am sorry for everything that I have done wrong and I ask for your forgiveness
I want you guys to know how much I respect the fact that thousands of you check in with me and my blogs every week. I really try to write not for the sake of writing but write something meaningful and happy and thoughtful when it comes to me. I know by your responses that for the most part they come across.
To the future and having you all be a part of it
Love is Love
Serch

Wuz up fellow bassheads? I haven't logged in awhile. I've been out of commission. Anyway, Mista John, you said:

However, Serch did say:
I am sorry for those who have misunderstood my words or actions AND
I am sorry for everything that I have done wrong and I ask for your forgiveness
So, I guess technically, he did apologize for the Pete Nice incident. Not directly, but indirectly. Peace.

MistaJohn and EastCoastHoney, you represent two extremes.
As far as the "Pete vs. Serch" thing is concerned, we have to garbage that; 3rd Bass has been over for a long time and both men have been living their lives since then. Serch has said that the "ego-trip" guys found the Pete look-alike. Maybe it was their idea to put him on stage w/ Serch, at Serch's birtday
roast
, as nothing more than a party joke. We don't see Pete complaining about it.
I do dislike ego-trip, and Serch knows that. But he ain't them and they ain't him!
ONE LOVE,
L.G.

Hey L.G. - welcome to the boards.
I'm pretty much over hating on Serch - I just make snide comments to get EastCoast heated at this point. She always has the last laugh though because I wind up paying for the bandwidth she uses to strike back at me.
I'm much more of a Pete fan than a Serch fan - going back to Wordz of Wisdom - Serch has always been too goofy for my admiration.
That said, he's still more tolerable than 99% of today's emcees.
