Has anyone heard the version of Daze in the Week with the guest vocal for the 2nd verse set?

I don't know who it is but the guy says:

Check it out yo, I'm about to flow, so/
I catch more run than sneakers worn by Flo Jo/
.....
A good time on the mic is what I'm havin/
I'll make you dance so hard you're about to catch back spasms/

huh  No, but I didn't have the single for that track so maybe that was a remix I never heard. I have the Back to the Grill record, and that has the LP ver. of Daze, but that's it. I do recall the video having a few different Serch rhymes (he went after pete insted of Hammer)"Like it or not, I don't care about the Hammer, but he'd be my bitch if me and him was in the slammer" ... "Like it or not, I don't care about the Minster, but he'd be my girl, if me and him was ever prisioners"

I remember that lyric change going after Pete.

I wonder if Serch just did that verse to have at least some response back to Pete.
Pete went at him pretty directly in two of his videos.  Serch just saying the "Minister/prisoner" lyric seems pretty tame compared to Serch getting his skull thumped.

The Daze in the Week extra lyric goes:

Check it out, yo...I'm about to flow, so/
I catch more run that sneakers worn by Flo Jo/
Ain't complicated like a puzzle named Rubix/
the girlies in the bed love the red hair on my pubics/
a good time on the mic is what I'm havin/
I'll make you dance so hard you're bound to catch back spasms/
take of my cap, or I might just tip her/
I'll do a flip like Flipper/
or like Jack I'll have to rip it/
You tend to grab the mic talk ish and spread rumors/
you give my brain tumors you're as wack as no-laced Pumas/
you're a herb and I'm the head of the class/
and I'll kick your f'n azz/

******************

It's really nothing that impressive.
I was curious who the other mc is.... because it's not Serch saying those lyrics.

No problem....

here are some of his different lyrics:   ----- I bolded sections that I think I might be hearing Serch wrong.

Serch slut for the quick view/
but then I come back to kick you/
down, down, down, get up/
now for the remix confusin like mental/
the one with the limerick strong as celibate/
Serchlite lits in brooklyn got the heart/
99 wanna 69 told the ho to get smart/
frontin on tracks when you should be shittin/
my texts like Timex excepts it keeps on tickin/
vick ya in the bed cuz I've never been bad/
Jeans on my moms but the drawers on my dad/
scribble pad, yo... I hit em like the memorex/
MCs are dandruff here comes the denorex/
booty azz lyric, step to me the stench will/
copy my ish like that you use a stencil/
prudential can't get a piece of this rock/
when I go pop pop pop.... i said stop/
come back in/
the weaklings they weaken the stunts in the sequence/
can't find the move or the groove for the weekend/

This is all the first verse before the guest mc.
It definitely isn't Chubb, Nas and I'm close to certain it's not Red Hot Lover.

It's got the same beat from the LP version of the song.
I don't think it's just someone adding their own lyrics....
because after the first verse and then chorus.... Serch says the person's name.
But I have a hard time making out what he's saying.

It almost sounds like Serch is saying "Subroc, let me hear you speak".
But wasn't Subroc deceased by the time of Return of the Product?

On the question of the single being released, no idea if it ever was or not. I have an mp3 version of the single with 4 tracks,  1. Video Mix; 2. LP Version; 3. Instrumental; 4. Acapella

The one that is up on the site that I just posted, I don't know where I got that from. It was not on this single version.

props, I never heard that before  Shocked  Who was the MC, was it Subroc (I know he passed away in 93, so it could have been him, but I don't ever recall hearing him rhyme before)? BTW, I guess they did release it, but like you said, this was not on it.  http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=mc+serch+Daze&_sacat=See-All-Categories

That makes sense...
it didn't really sound like Subroc.... and I'm going to doubt he'd have *a hem* ....red hairs.

This obviously before NonPhixion started to hate Serch.

Would you be able to post a link for the instrumental? I would love to have that!
