I was thinking we should try to get an interview from DJ Daddy Rich. I do not know how to get in contact with him though. Anyone know if he has a Myspace or something?

There were some people on here that were friends with him on facebook. Somebody said something about him deleting his account.

I received a friend request from Daddy Rich awhile back and I was blown away. He had just started to accumulate a friends list and he was promoting his upcoming shows and posted videos. I reached out to him and gave him thanks and appreciation for his work on Dust to Dust and Derelicts and he was cool enough to actually respond back to me and say he was touched. Then he posted on his wall, "How many of y'all remember the 'Lumberjack?" The responses were great ! He had lots of fans.

Sadly, a few months back maybe even more, his account just disappeared which was a downer. What a great way to promote your new material but now he is just gone. I tried to see if he had another account but no luck although I did see on FB some kind of invitation list to a show he would be a part of in Phoenix. He might have a Twitter account, not sure.

Well I just made a twitter, just tweeted something to him (is that the right word to use? haha) asking if he would do an interview for the site. So we will have to wait and see what he says I guess. Any one have any ideas what we could ask him if he accepts? Here are a couple

1.What made you want to become a DJ?
2.Who is your favorite DJ?
3.Are you still friends with Pete or Serch?

I always wanted to know about unreleased tracks.
For both albums (and their solo work) there has to be numerous unreleased tracks.... and not just the stuff that surfaces on a B-side in the form of a remix or something.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were at least 5 tracks from Derelicts that have never been released and that most have never heard.

I remember from years back when the Beastie's were releasing Ill Communication.... Mike D was standing in front of this dry erase board which had at least 2 times as many tracks listed than were released on Ill Communication.  Mike D said something along the lines of "We're cutting this list of tracks in half and that's what will be on the album"..... this was before the release of the album.

jorge,
I also remember seeing that on MTV, but it was when the Beasties were about to release HELLO NASTY not ILL COMMUNICATION.
