  I didn't go, but great find.  I guess Nas, and Serch are cool, I remember durning the Jay-Z beef, Serch said "Nas jerked me cause he's not a man"  I guess that's all in the past now Grin

I remember that. He said that after he was asked if it was true that Jay-Z had paid him so he could sample Nas ("I know who I paid, Serchlite publishing").
I remember reading a Serch interview a few years after that where he said that he didn't have the rights to that stuff that Jay-Z sampled so he really didn't pay him.

  Yes, Nas didn't have the rights ( I belive that after Serch got him signed, brought in top Producers, and finished the album .....then Nas wanted to change the contract, or something to that extent). Serch ended up with some kind of deal in witch he got the rights for some of the tracks off Illmatic. At the end of the day .......  Serch was on some Fuck a Nas shit for a while. I can't remember what CD it was, either "It Was Written", or  "I am", but in the Thank you's Nas clearly stated "MC Srech. Thank you".  Bottom line, glad there cool with eachother  Grin
